With Hawaii’s rising property prices, affordable housing programs in condominiums offer a much needed alternative to cater to our community. Condominiums have double the inventory of single family homes, at half the price, making them a great option for many. What do all applications require? (Regardless of program)
- Must be 18 years of age
- U.S. citizen or resident alien
- Physically present and living in Hawai’i
- Annual income cannot exceed roughly $85,344- $149,352
- Minimum income requirements
- Assets caps
- Cannot own property currently or in last 3 years
- Cannot have already purchased affordable housing
What if I don’t meet the Income Requirements?
Using co-signers may help you meet the income requirements and co-signers may get 1% title ownership.
